Put a Full Stop to Trafficking

Did you know that 20.9 million adults and children are bought and sold worldwide into commercial sexual servitude, forced labour and bonded labour?

And did you know that 757 million people worldwide still cannot read?

To mark World Day against Trafficking in Persons and Singapore’s inaugural National Reading Day on July 30, Singapore Committee for UN Women is hosting a panel discussion to understand the world of trafficking and the role of education and reading as a preventative strategy.

Join us to learn how to recognize and tackle instances of trafficking and how you can take the first steps in making at-risk populations more literate, and hence less vulnerable to exploitation.

To encourage more people to read, we will also be rolling out a fun social media campaign to get the pulse of book lovers in Singapore!
